The Office for Social Concern and Involvement (OSCI) is the main conscientization arm of the Loyola Schools. Through its alternative education programs, OSCI helps in the formation of young men and women to become persons for others, promoting social justice through solidarity to the poor. Its programs help students realize that talents and gifts are to be developed not for self-satisfaction, but rather with the help of God, for the betterment of human society.
OSCI is the portal of the Ateneo De Manila University to the outside world. It caters to the development of social consciousness and response-ability of the student population through its various extramural involvement. OSCI's four-year developmental social formation is an alternative education program which attempts to instill among the youth indispensable humane values through community/area integration processes (such as exposure trips, service-rendering activities, labour trials, and immersion), workshops, and processing sessions.
It culminates in the Fourth year level program called PRAXIS where students get to share their acquired and innate skills and competencies with marginalized communities, all towards national development.
